Five Go Off are a flexible band, available as a 4-piece or larger band
The four piece band plays acoustic instruments for music with a traditional feel -
fiddle, mandola, flute and saxophone, guitars, melodeon, together usually with bass guitar.
For larger venues and a bigger, more electric sound we can include a full rhythm section, including drums, bass guitar and electric guitar.
With the larger band we can also add some pop music and rock and roll to follow the ceilidh dancing
(a popular combination for wedding receptions)
Our dances are not difficult - they are suitable for people who have never done this kind of traditional, social dancing, the young and old, the nimble-footed or those with two left feet.
We can also include more advanced dances for the more experienced dancers.
